Both Excedrin Migraine and normal Excedrin contain 250 mg acetaminophen, 250 mg aspirin and 65 mg caffeine. Chemically, they are equivalent.

Excedrin Migraine and normal Excedrin have identical ingredients in identical quantities: the pills are the same. Excedrin Migraine has migraine-oriented instructions and FDA approval to list use for migraines.

Having had headaches, often, I have taken both products frequently. I see no difference in the effects of Excedrin Migraine than that of normal Excedrin. I have compared the ingredients in both and could find no difference. I would be lost with out Excedrin.

The major difference is that Excedrin Migraine contains caffeine along with the asparin and acetominophen. Normal Excedrin does not. The ingredients are listed on the back of the packages.

The only difference I can find is the dosage recommendations.
Migraines: 2 pills every 24 hours
Aches & Pains: 2 pills every 6 hours (8pills maximum per 24 hours).
Both have identical ingredients and dosages - aspirin, acetaminophen, & caffeine.  add a comment

While Norman Excedrin works great on aches and pains, Excedrin Migraine specifically targets migraines, giving fast and long lasting comfort.

Excedrin Migraine works to wipe out headaches specifically; wheras Excedrin normal takes longer to work in the body's system. If you take the Excedrin Migraine. Take the migraine medication now.

The only difference seems to be in one inactive ingredient; Extra Strength contains mineral oil while Migraine contains light mineral oil.

Not much difference, however all the different types of Excedrin have slightly different dosages of the medications, and some contain both tylenol and aspirin. The original is the 'healthiest'.

in all honesty there's little difference between the 2 medications. they have the same exact active ingredients. the only possible differences has to lie n the inactive ingredients. perhaps Migraine activates faster than regular, or perhaps its all psycho-semantic.

To be honest, there is no difference. Both Excedrin Migraine and normal Excedrin contain 250 mg of acetaminophen, 250 mg of aspirin, and 65 mg of caffeine. It's basically marketing.
