The double wing high school football offense is a primarily running offense. There is almost no passing involved in the double wing offense which is often why it is popular in high school football. The quarterback will either run option plays or hand off to a running backs nearly every play.

The double wing is an option style run first offense that is utilized by teams in some high school leagues. The offense can be utilized best by schools with extremely quick skill position players and large blockers on the offensive line. The style has fallen out of favor and is seen as old fashioned by many coaches.
