What is the easiest way to add new speakers to my computer?

My computer speakers are pretty quiet, and I'm thinking of making it my main entertainment center, so I need to figure out what my options are for attaching speakers.

Any powered stereo/surround system having a 2. 5 mm plug which will mate with the line out jack on your sound card will work. Shop with your ears.

The easiest way of adding new speakers is buying a speaker set from a computer store and hooking them up directly to your sound card inside of your computer. The second option, almost as easy, is to get the system and have a wire with two male headphone outs, hooking it into the Line In option of your stereo set.

To attach speakers you have two options: 1. classic over your soundcard or 2. Usb. If you want to go wireless the second option is often better. On a standard soundncard you should be able to connect a dolby surrround system. For 5. 1 you need a special soundcard with two lines.

To add new speakers to a computer, one should first read the directions that came with the speakers and follow them. By beginning the installation without checking the instructions, you may unintentionally err.

Most speaker systems are plug and play so all you would need to do is unpack it from the box, plug it into the computer jack and you ar good
