What is the etiquette about wedding thank you cards?

When writing a wedding thank you card you only need to use a few short sentences. There's no need for diversity either, a simple thank you to all is needed.

It doesn't need to be too wordy; especially if you're sending them out to a lot of people. A sentance or two should be fine.
