The formula for bromide is Br-. Bromide is in group 7, the halogens. The elements in this group tend to gain one additional electron to satisfy the octet rule. Since bromine would gain one electron and form the bromide ion, it would have a negative charge, forming Br-.

Since Bromine is a liquid, the formula for Bromide would be Br2. I am not sure if there is a way you can actually 'make' it since a natural compound of bromine would already be like that.
