Gestation is usually just over two months - between 56 and 70 days. It is often difficult to tell when conception occurred. Pregnancy is also dangerous and should be avoided.

The average gestation time is approximately six to eight weeks for healthy guinea pig babies. Anytime premature of this threatens the life of the babies as with any species.

Approximately 50-70 days, but it is difficult to know when the pig in question became pregnant unless you were present for conception. Try not to breed guinea pigs if possible - always a 20% fatality rate (higher for a first time mum over 8 months old) and there are plenty out there to adopt.
