Generally, the lowest measurable IQ score is around 70. After that, it becomes difficult to measure the capacity of an individual who lacks the basic skills necessary for testing. Years ago, scores were calculated for lower levels and labels like "moron," "imbecile" and "idiot" were assigned to those individuals. Enlightened thinking has moved us away from such practices.

The lowest IQ score without being mentally challenged is 71. Below that is subjective due to many strictures having to do with mental and physical impairment and is not considered a diagnostic tool in those circumstances. Remember, however, standardized IQ is a subjective tool often impacted by upbringing and education.

As with any other test, the lowest IQ is zero. Now to have this type of IQ one would absolutely have to not be breathing, thus be totally dead to have this.

The I. Q. scale ranges from 0 to 200. There are rare individuals who test with I. Q. s of less than 15, but they are typically near vegetables or comatose.
