If you have any questions or concerns, it is always polite to check with your hosts. I know I would be very polite, and not question the way things are done in their home. It would also be considerate to ask them if they need any help around the house, washing dishes, cleaning up, laundry, just basic household chores.

Be gracious, polite and helpful. Do not assume anything. Replace what you use and pick up after yourself. Take a gift and send one after.

First, it is best to either bring a gift, or to buy them dinner one night. Also, make sure to clean up after yourself and fold your bedsheets.

The basis of etiquette is imagining the situation of the other. Imagine someone staying at your house. They would be a pain in the neck if they... (e. g. , didn't clean up a mess they made, etc. ). Use that as a guide. Also bring a gift to the host and be sure to take them to a nice restaurant for a meal.

If it were me I would more try to acclimate to their surroundings. I also would make an effort to help them out with things that they try to do.
