Pasta, isn't it wonderful. My family loves a lot of pasta foods. Box items like Elbow Macaroni, Bow Ties, and especially the wide egg noodle pasta,I have kept on the shelf for as much as six months. The smaller ones like the little stars, couscous and vegetable made ones I don't keep around more than two months.

Dry pasta has a very long shelf life, even years. However, if left in an open box, small insects or mice can get into it. Pay attention to the manufacturer's expiration date, especially on fresh or refrigerated pasta.

One of the main staples of life that can sit on your shelf for at least ten years is good old pasta. Just as long as no moisture gets into it or little critters, you're set for a meal at any time.

If it's the dried pasta you buy in stores usually the shelf life for it is stated at approximately a year.

Assuming that the pasta is dried and enclosed within a container, there is no expiration date. This is due to the low fat and water content.
