There is no statute of limitations for murder in the country of Canada. This means that regardless of when a murder occurred charges can still be pressed against the culprit.

Canada has no SOL on serious crimes. There is a six-month SOL on misdemeanors, which, if not prosecuted within six months, are erased. Things like assault, murder, rape, battery, serious theft and other felony crimes can be prosecuted indefinitely. In countries that have an SOL on serious crime, murder is exempt: it can always be prosecuted.
