Bull mastiffs are large, muscular dogs and need a dominant human figure in order to keep them in line. They are very calm and docile, yet fearless if they are put into danger. The mastiff has to see the human as the leader or it will not be in control at all.

Bull mastiffs are very loyal and loving dogs and are great with families. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are large dogs.

They are very good family dogs if they are raised in a family environment if they are not then you may have some trouble with it. The best way to do it is to get a puppy and raise it your way then you will have nothing to worry about.
