After June 2009, an old TV (analog) cannot receive signals. Sets are virtually worthless. If it comes with either a digital converter or VCR / DVD player, you might be able to give it away or sell the combo for $10.

The value of older tv's is plunging because of the digital change over and the advent of the flat screen. To use a 10 year old tv now you have to have a converter box and an antenna if you don't have cable. Plus they are generally larger and heavier. A lot of people can't even donate them now.

It depends on a few factors, the main one would be how well it works, if it doesn't work too well it really won't be worth anything. Another important factor would of course be the size of the television, when it comes to televisions bigger is usually better. It could be worth anything from $50 to $300
