Tire cupping is where a tire is worn unevenly. It is usually do to improper inflation or incorrect alignment. The tire makes contact on only one specific area.

Cupping refers to dips along one edge of the tire, like scalloping. This condition is usually only seen on the front tires of higher mileage vehicles with fairly severe front suspension wear or damage. Bad ball joints, wheel bearings, or shocks could be the culprits.

Tire cupping comes when you are using your tires a little too much in one particular day. If you want to stop this you may have to buy a certain product.
