What kind of personality does a shar pei lab mix have?

It totally depends on how you raise the dog. Most of the time they are really good dogs because the lab takes the edge off from the shar pei. Most mix breed dogs have a better temperment than a pure blood because one breed will help to ease the bad edges of another.

my sharpi mix is one of the sweetest, most easily trained dogs i have ever owned. She's kinda bias against men with facial hair tho.. so ask any hippie to tread lightly :)  add a comment

I adopted a shar pie/lab mix and he's the best. Very protective of me, the house, and everything. Real good with people, children, and other dogs. He's very intellegent, learns quick, and real loyal. When he's with me you'll very rarely see him not by my side or close by.  add a comment

Best dog ever! Very easy to house train. Acts aggressive but very gentle. A training collar has been extremely helpful. Huge chewer invest in the black Kong toys. Keep lots of toys available or they will chew up your carpet. Really a great pet for a family.  add a comment

I have a Sharpei lab I got from the shelter when he was two months old. He is the best! Friendly, cute, medium sized short haired and loves dogs and humans alike. He rides well in the car, is healthy and likes the water. Training is easy. I love Roscoe.

I had a Sharpei Lab for 11 years. I am 60 now and have had dogs all of my life. He was the most amazing dog. He was so emotionally responsive, smart, loving and kind. He was great with our little granddaughter. He was a great guard dog too.  add a comment

A lab is very loyal, while a shar pei is very high strung. They do make wonderful pets with that combination of personality. Labs are one of the highest rated family pets in the United States, and adding the look of a shar pei makes them a good looking dog.

They have a very good temeperment. They will be playful and loyal. They are good with children and love to show off. They can be shy at first but once they know you they will be one of the best dogs you ever had. They are intellegent and learn fast.

I have a shar pei lab mix and she acts this way as well. She is very hard to train and is a big chewer. We adopted her at 5 months of age, she learns things quickly but forgets them just as fast! :/  add a comment

I have a shar pei lab mix. Shar pei traits show devotion and high protection for the home and family, but the lab does mellow out the aggressive side. Very calm and quit dog but playful. Great with people but timid around other dogs. Great Dog to have!

Shar pei's are very devoted usually one person pets and a lab is a breed that usually just loves everyone and everything. it sounds like it will be a good family dog and a bit on the medium to small size. Friendly and devoted is my guess.

Mixed breed dogs tend to have a combination of the personalities of each of the individual dogs in its mix. A shar Pei Lab mix would have some Shar Pei personality traits and some Lab traits. It would most likely like water, be friendly, and also have some Shar Pei traits as well.

Shar pei's are generally very laid back dogs while labs can be either very high energy or very mellow. Mixed breed dogs however, can often exhibit traits of either parent or non.

I believe my female dog is a lab/shar pei mix. She likes who I like, & is friendly with my cats & grandchildren. She is protective of small dogs, but has an alpha attitude w/big dogs. Extra skin saved her because she was bit by a snake once.

Excellent mix! I have a shar-pei lab mix and a chocolate lab (7 & 9 mths). Both are smart & friendly. The shar-pei lab mix is easier to handle; fewer undesirable behaviors such as jumping on people, digging holes, and tearing things apart. He stays by my side during walks.
