A cedar shed at least 8 feet wide and 8 feet long. Wooden sheds can be painted and cedar wood will also protect any material items from bug infestation.

Your storage shed should be secure so your equipment does not get stolen. It should be sturdy to hold racks and cupboards and stand up to years of weathering, and be adequately ventilated.. There should be enough space in it to hold the items you want to store The door should wide enough to get things in and out easily.

Consider size and weight of shed when it's full. Larger sheds will need to be on a reinforced concrete pad to keep it from sinking into the ground.

You need to consider how much you need to store, how much space you have for a shed, and whether or not you can store some items (like bikes) elsewhere.

Take all items needing floor space in an area in your yard. Put it close together. Measure the space used. Make sure the shed is at least that large. Then look for a flat yard space to accept a shed.

First find out the size and number of items you want to store. As well check the place of your storage. Never take such facilities which are far from your place.
