Ear infections in a mini lop rabbits are treated with the antibiotic Baytril. This medication must be prescribed by a veterinarian. Ear infections can mimic other diseases in rabbits including Pasteurella and Encephalitozoon cuniculi. Both diseases, including a untreated ear infection, may cause head tilting and unbalance. Each can also spread to the brain and cause death if untreated.
