What should I do about puppies that growl and bite?

Puppies growl and bite one another to prepare for "the wild. " They will work it out. You, however, should not permit any dog to growl at or bite you.

It depends on how old the puppies are. If they are still small puppies, then they are probably playing with you. Or playing with each other.

I think that's just part of having a puppy! In all seriousness, it's important that you start training as soon as possible. When the puppies bite or nip, say "no" as firm as possible and take your hand away. Once they stop, give them a bone or something to bite.

Puppies that excessively growl and bite are probably not used to discipline yet. The easiest way to solve this is to find a training class for them. If it is an excited biting though, the puppies may just be bored. Try getting them to exert more energy so they will sleep and relax.
