Talk to a patent attorney. Q&A sites aren't a great place to get legal advice. In the US, you get a patent application from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and submit a schematic for your invention along with the patent application. It's fairly straightforward.

Get yourself an Intellectual Property (IP) attorney. You can also get a "layman's" patent by describing your idea on paper, mailing it to yourself in a sealed envelope to get an official postal date on it, then put it in a safe deposit box at a bank.

You should call or visit the US Patent Office's website and check to see if there is a patent that already covers your idea, if not file your own patent.

the best thing to do would be to introduce your ideas to a patent company first and they will help u patent it so your idea doesnt get stolen or duped.

First look up the number for and call the United States Patent Office. Be prepared to wait for some time and spend a bit on money as this process involves a good deal of waiting, and if you are approved for the patent you want, it can be rather expensive.

1. Have a patent search done to ensure the idea is patentable. 2. Apply for a patent to protect your idea.

you could try contacting a toy company, but before that, it would be good to have a prototype of your idea, so you can present it more easily. you could even start your own company, depending on how global the idea can be.

Well, contact a major toy company. Introduce your idea and bring it forward. Make sure you own your idea though.

You will need to contact the patent office, draw up very specific plans and models, defend why it is original enough to deserve a patent, and submit a ton of paperwork.

If you're in the US, you need to get patent forms from the US Patent and Trademark office. You will need to fully explain what your toy does and how. Then you will need to pay a fee, anywhere from $100 to over $300 dollars.
