What should I do if my pet has a bad reaction to a Hartz flea collar?

The first thing you should do is remove the collar and make sure there are no open wounds or skin irritation underneath. If this is clear, maybe try one of the topical flea treatments such as frontline or advantage.

The first thing you do is take the collar off if you haven't done so already. If it having a real bad reaction take it to the vet immediately.

I would remove the flea collar immediately and apply warm water and soap to the area. Read the back of the carton information on what to do in case of irritation with the collar. I would also contact your veterinarian to discuss what happens in case of irritation and what you can do about it.

Remove collar right away if you haven't already call your vet right away and see what they want you to do.
