Assuming you like her, you should try to become her boyfriend. If you want her and she wants you, then there really isn't an issue. Now, if she has a boyfriend and still wants you, don't do anything until they are broken up.

If she is interested in you as a friend, this does not end her relationship with her boyfriend. If romantic, she needs to break up with him first.

Perhaps in time you could become her boyfriend, if you like her enough. That would be assuming she isn't engaged, married or otherwise committed. You don't want to trespass on some else territory.

For everyone's sake it is probably best to proceed with a great deal of caution. A person is much less likely to be able to start a new stable relationship if they are already involved with someone else. If you really are compatible, wait and see about getting together when she is no longer entangled.
