If you do not live within driving distance, staying at the hotel for a night or two is wise. That way you can take a nap in the middle of the day if you need one. Disneyland is simply loads of clean fun. Don't fight the crowds, just enjoy.

It's pretty tiring... if you want to see a lot, you should pace yourself to last for an entire day. Plan some downtime during the day so you can rest. There are some quiet spots in the park, and they are a nice respite from the crowds/noise.

You should expect to spend lots of money! The food, drinks, and gift shops can be expensive. You should also expect crowds and long lines for the rides. You can count on coming out of the park exhausted but very happy.

Disneyland is a lot of fun but bring a small child and go on all the rides even the ones for little kids. Expect long lines as it is a popular place to visit. They are very strict about bringing outside food into the park so be prepared to spend a lot of money on food and drinks.
