A preschooler in gymnastics learns activities which enhance coordination, teach listening skills, and hand eye coordination. They also learn to feel secure on the equipment.

In general very young children will not learn much that you would call gymnastics. Most likely they will work on somersaults and flexibility.

It takes a lot of repetition for any gymnast to learn but especially one at a younger age. She should be learning forward rolls, jumping with 2 feet, and how to land safely. She should be learning balance among other things.
