Cephalexin is an antibiotic and as with most antibiotics this can upset your dogs stomach. Try giving this at feeding time with your dogs meal. This will usually help prevent any stomach upset before it starts. You can also give Pepcid AC (Famotadine) to help relieve some upset, make sure to call your veterinarian for a correct dosage.

Cephalexin can irritate a dog's digestive tract (stomach and intestines), causing vomiting and diarrhea. Giving the drug with food can help slow absorption of the drug, which can reduce this side effect. If your dog has any pre-existing digestive problems, there may be a different drug your dog can take, depending on the type of infection he has.

Cephalexin is an antibiotic used to treat infections in dogs. Unfortunately while it is doing goood for your animal it is also killing all the beneficial bacteria in the stomach and intestines. Stomach upset usually occurs in the form of vomiting or diarrhea. To help this you can give your dog a few spoonfuls of plain yougurt daily.

Cephalexin is an antibiotic that can be given to dogs and cats to treat things such as bacterial skin infections and infections of the urinary and respiritory tract and the bones and joints. It should be given with food to prevent stomach upsets. It works by suppressing the growth of micro-organisms such as bacteria, fungi and protazoa.

Cephalexin is an antibiotic that may cause irritation to the dogs stomach. Give the pill with a little food. Also, a probiotic will help the stomach be less irritated. If the dog throws up the pill or stops eating, call your vet immediately. Do not give milk products with this antibiotic.
