What should I know about fallopian tube regrowth?

I lost a tube due to a tubal pregnancy and I was wondering if it could grow back.

Once a fallopian tube has been damaged or removed you can not grow it back, however you do still have one fallopian tube and one ovary that is working and going to function. You should still be able to become pregnant however you may need assistance in your timing and planning.

It is unlikely that the tube will grow back and rejoin to make it fully functional. If the cut ends are close sometimes they do- but this is extremely rare.

Fallopian tubes will not regenerate if lost. Fortunately, a woman only needs to have one of them be in working condition in order to get pregnant. While it may be harder to get pregnant with a single tube, it is possible. However, once one is lost (whether due to fibroids or any other reason), it is gone forever.
