Shitzu puppies can be lots of fun to own. They are adorable, affectionate and oh so lovable. However, they are also a high maintenence breed. Those soft, furry coats require grooming and the Shitzu also demands a lot of attention.

ShihTzus are low energy dogs with great personality. They require little exercise. They do not shed, but grooming should be done frequently. Training and housebreaking is difficult.

Be sure you have the time for a new Shi-Tzu puppy. They need a lot of attention and don't do well if you work all day. Also be sure to have chew toys for the teething stage because they will naw on your furniture. Keep them well groomed and clean and make sure your daughter is easy on him.
