Wheel size depends on the make and model of the truck. Most domestic full-sized trucks use 16 inch rims with P265/75R16 tires. As you get to new models you start to see 17 inch rims. 22 to 28 inch rims go on trucks that will never see dirt.

The size wheels and tires on a vehicle are useally given by manufactorer to optimize handling and gas milage there really is no set size for all 4 wheel drive vehicles. its all about what fits without problems such as rubbing and what you feel looks good on that particular vehicle.
