What will happen if I get laid off while on disability?

It depends on your state, in most states disability benefits are required to continue until their normal expiration. If it's workman's comp case they continue until the case is closed.

if I get laid off while on disability, I will have to contact the appropriate agency to begin a legal case. The case will go to court, and I will probably receive compensation of some sort.

what do you mean laid off while on disability. if you are on disability you should not be working. if you are working you can not collect disability. if you mean laid off from disability so to speak, that can not happen. if you are approved for disability pay then you continue to recieve it for the approved allotted time.

Get a new job once you recover (if the disability is due to an injury), or go on permanent disability.
