The minimum pitch is 2/12. This means for every 12 feet it goes 2 feet. Per manufacturers specifications normally 2/12 is the lowest recommended pitch because there is not enough slope for the water to run off the shingles before it has a chance to go underneath them. Shingles are not waterproof only water resistant.
