The weather is very warm across the island. Temperatures range between 80 and 90 year-round with August being the hottest, so September is pretty warm. September also leads into the rainy season (Oct-Dec). September is also prime time for hurricanes, and Jamaica is in the hurricane belt. Think: traveler's insurance.

Temperatures are usually 76 degrees Fahrenheit to 88 degrees Fahrenheit through September. Rainfall is most likely in September, but there's still plenty of sunshine. It's not as warm as August, but still is a good time to visit.

Jamaica in September can be a nightmare. This is Voodoo and Zombie season. The weather seems to know that there is evil in the air. Vicious lightning storms with booming thunder and monsoon rains are the norm.

In September, you will find the weather to be more tolerable but still hot. Rain is more common than in earlier months but usually just involves an afternoon storm each day. Bring a light sweater for evenings that may become cool although it rarely goes below 65 fahrenheit even at night.

The weather in Jamaica in September is very warm since Jamaica is close to the equator. That is the peak of hurricane season however.
