There is no specific date recorded for when Judaism begin. Historical records extend back more than 3000 years. From these records, it is evident that Judaism was around long before there were written records of such things. It is believed to be at least 4000 years old. This year is 5770 on the Hebrew Calendar.

The Jewish faith traces its roots back well over 3000 years, making it one of the oldest monotheistic religions, and certainly the oldest surviving monotheistic faith. However, there are many strains of Judaism, which continue to evolve to day as scholars and rabbis develop new interpretations of the ancient texts.

Moses received the Ten Commandments from God around 1500BC. This basically marks the beginning of Judaism. Abraham's rebuttal to worshipping anything wordly preceded that by 300BC which led to monoltheism
