spondylolsthesis surgery is only appropriate after an extensive physical therapy program has been completed. At that time it would be determined that if there is still an inability to function, sugery could be warranted.

Spondylolsthesis surgery is appropriate only after non-operative surgery treatment options have been explored for an extended period of time. These treatments range from physical therapy to the use of prescribed drugs. Usually these type of treatments should be done over a period of 2 months to 1 year. After these options have been explored your doctor may recommend surgery.
