You can typically find someone to edit your college essay in your college/career center or your guidance department. Alternatively, you could ask a teacher on the English department faculty.

There are usually many resources available near college campuses. I know graduate students often post fliers that offer editing services for a fee. If you are near a college try to go to coffee shops or other places where fliers are posted. Also try libraries because there are usually writing centers. Professors and friends were often good resources for me...

Most colleges have tree tutoring; they should be able to help you. Second, why not try Amazon's Mechanical Turk. It is inexpensive and a number of people edit it.

Try the English department, or your school's learning center. Most colleges have an office that will help with editing and composition of essay's. At the very least find a friend that is good with English composition and ask them to take a look at it and make suggestions.
