I think it all depends on which gender the primary owner / caregiver is. In my experience, female dogs respond better and bond closer with female owners and vice versa with males.

Either. These dogs are in the same breed and will exhibit a very similar range of behavior. Sex determines almost no personality of an animal.

It really depends on the personality of the dog. Though, I will suggest that if you have other male dogs that you might be better off getting a female just to reduce fighting for dominance. Though, I think either one can make a wonderful pet for you and your family.

I have three beautiful pomeranians, two boys, one girl. I can tell you that they are equal in both positives and negatives. I believe this comes down to peronal choice. Boys tend to be easier to house break but are larger in size. Females are smaller but are faster in learning rules. Choose by traits no gender, you'll be happier.

Picking a male or female of any breed is something you should consider before purchase. The best thing to do is 'interview' both males and females separately of the breed in mind and note their behaviors. Match which gender has characteristics that you want in your dog.

Both male and female Pomeranians can make great pets (I have speak from personal experience with both). Males can tend to be "goofier" but also more aggressive. Females can be more emotional but less aggressive.
