Moaning Myrtle is a character from Harry Potter, she first appears in the second movie: "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". She's a ghost that haunts a girl's lavatory at Hogwarts School, and she was probably given that nickname because she constantly cries, sobs, moans and complains, especially when she hears anyone talking about death.
