Panasonic microwaves are great. They have lots of different price ranges and sizes available. My parents-in-law had one that lasted almost 20 years! When they had to buy a new one, they bought another Panasonic. They are easy to use, but have a lot of options for those who need it as well.

I really like my GE Profile Microwave. It has a quick timer of 30 sec. 1,2,&3 minutes. It has a baked potato and popcorn button that times it just right. It has a beverage button that reheats my coffee if it gets cold without burning it. The reheat button is great for already cooked food.

A very reliable microwave manufacturer is Gold Star. I have had mine for over seven years and have never had a problem with it. It is a basic model and as dependable as an old friend. In fact, I do not think it will ever leave me!

Whatever kind of microwave you purchase make sure it is at least 1000watts and has digital numbers that are large enough for her to see. Simpler is better.

GE (General Electric) makes a good microwave. They usually have high wattage, which cooks the food faster than a low wattage microwave. High wattage microwaves usually match the instructions on frozen food for timed cooking. GE microwaves last for a long time.
