Malachi, which means "My Messenger" in Hebrew, was the last of the minor prophets. He is also credited with writing the last book of the Old Testament, although some scholars disagree. The Book of Malachi is considered a prophetic book, and was written sometime before Nehemiah came to Jerusalem in 445 B. C.

Malachi translates as 'my messenger'. Malachi was a prophet in the Jewish Tanakh and Biblical Old Testament. The Book of Malachi was written between 440BC and 400BC, and it is a prophetic warning to the tribe of Israel to turn back to God. Malachi's prophecies also mentioned John The Baptist.
