Who were the ancient Egyptian pharaohs?

They were the kings of Ancient Egypt. They ruled over their kingdom and then their son took over. The ancestry lines were split up by dynasties. When a king line ended (a pharaoh had no son to take over), a new pharaoh was crowned and oversaw Egypt. Ramses II was one famous pharaoh.

The pharaohs were the rulers of ancient Egypt. They made laws and decisions and were buried in elaborate burial tombs, often with their belongings, which sometimes included slaves.

"Pharaoh" is a term generally given to all ancient Egyptian monarchs, being the absolute political and religious leaders of the entire kingdom. Originally, "pharaoh" meant "great house" in Ancient Egyptian, but was used in later dynasties to refer to the entire royal line.

Egyptian pharaohs claimed their right to rule as descendants of the god Ra, the sun god. They ruled Egypt for several thousand years up to the Roman conquest. The last Egyptian Pharaoh was Cleopatra, a descendant of Greeks who conquered Egypt and then took on the practice of divine kingship.

There were a lot of them but the best ones are King Tut. Cleopatra was also an egyptian pharoah as well.
