Every television show has a different theme song, usually written by a different person for each show. Usually, whoever composes the music for the show (such as Bear McCreary for "Battlestar Galactica" and "Caprica") writes the theme song. Sometimes a famous composer (Danny Elfman for "The Simpsons) writes the theme.

TV theme songs are written by a variety of people. If one of the stars has musical talent (Queen Latifah, Will Smith, Jaime Foxx), they will at times write their own or the producers will hire someone.
