If they have children, this "control" is him capitulating to stay involved in their lives. If there are no kids, it is because he isn't independent yet.

That may be what she is used to doing, but she is the ex-wife. This is unacceptable, your boyfriend needs to stand up to her or cut off contact.

It Is ONLY About the children!! Nothing to do with the EX (supposed to be that way! She in the EX for a reason they were not ment to be so the BOND between them is BROKEN!! there should only be a bond between the parent and child.

My sister has the same problem. Are there children involved? If not, then there really isn't a valid reason and your boyfriend needs to stop listening to the ex.

Because he let's her. Sometimes this happens out of habit - wife calls, husband comes running - but there could also be children involved and this creates a permanent bond.

Dealing with the parent should be in the same manner as if it were a social worker, professional and cordial. Nothing else is her concern or business! cut it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its ridiculous! it almost gets down to where they treat the child like a 'god' or something, way too overboard. i do agree the child keeps the bond and in my circumstance he wants her on his good side to make his life easier.nooo

Because he is allowing it!! If kids are involved then contact should be minimal and about the child only!! No kids then NO CONTACT end of!! If he thinks anything of you he will read this and take notes!!
