Why would I want to stay married?

You may want to stay married because of the commitment you made to one another. Is there any hope that the spark will return? Assuming you had a good reason for marrying, perhaps you could work at it. However, it you are miserable, it won`t do your children any good!

If you have children you need to stay married for their sake. Children need security. Put your differences aside until your children are grown.

Because of financial reasons and your child's welfare staying married makes sense. There is also the factor of social diseases being single.

When you divorce you do not only break a promise to your spouse you also break a promise to God, one you should take lightly.
