Will a quick claim deed protect property because of a law suit?

No it won't. It just mean the party filing the lawsuit will just wait until that other person receives the property and then files a claim against them and the property at that time. That happened to my mother as the person getting the house and she lost it.

A person who deeds you property via quitclaim does not promise to have owned any interests at all in the land deeded, although a quitclaim deed does effectively convey whatever interest the grantor may have. It is a good idea to hire a real-estate lawyer if your grantor won't even warrant having title to the land you think you're getting.

When a quitclaim deed is transferred it transfers the grantor's interest in the property to the grantee with no guarantees. Any judgments, liens, etc. will pass to the grantee.

A quick claim deed may not work. It would be seen as trying to hide assets from a lawsuit, which is considered fraud.
