Xbox tray won't open, what should I do?

There is a reset hole under the tray , a small hole that can be used in case the tray won't open. A small needle is needed to be pushed into this hole while pressing the open tray button at the same time and the tray will open. Cleaning or replacing the tray will also be a good idea.

If the Xbox tray won't open, there could be several things wrong like a shorted wire or bad motor. If you don't want to risk breaking your Xbox more, you should call Microsoft's Xbox customer support and see what to do, probably send it back for them to fix for a fee unless it's under warranty.

An xbox tray is like the one from a computers dvd drive. It`s got a small hole. You can put a pin in it or a mechanical crayon or even a paperclip. When you push it down the hole, the spring will open the xbox tray. It's that easy.

The Xbox tray is not opening or you get the message ''Open Tra'' when you put a disc in the console? You should clarify the question. I think something is wrong at the DVD-Rom. Do you play back-up games? You were ''violent'' with the xbox? It's a 360 or a classic? You should go to the service.

Under the disc tray, you can find a small hole. Now, take the pin, which enters inside the hole and push it till the door get opened.
