I believe some student loan consolidation programs are legitimate. Things to look for when trying to consolidate your loans are interest rate, repayment options, and any fees that may be associated with it. If the lender tries to charge a higher rate and fees don't even bother doing it.

yes, and they take that extra stress of the payment off the student so they can concentrate on they school work.
