Older cats suffering from high blood pressure can go blind. Glaucoma can do this, also. Optic nerve damage can result from a stroke your cat may have had.

Yes, like humans, poor Puss can go blind, lose control of bodily functions, lose movement. Don't take blindness as an indication of stroke without knowing it is a stroke. You really need a vet, and if it is a stroke you have to decide if it is time to say goodbye.

A stroke in a cat can affect any number of its systems. Depending on where the stroke occurs, it can result in blindness, just as blindness is a possibility for human sufferers of a stroke. A stroke is a massive injury that can seriously affect your cat's quality of life.
