Skunks do not hibernate. However, they do sleep for long periods of time during the cold weather months, but will waken and become active if the temperatures become warmer. Skunks also prepare themselves for winter by eating a great deal more during the fall months.

skunks do something similar to hibernations. they will nap in their dens or areas where they stay fr long periods of time and come out on the warm days to look for food. they also come out one time to empty their scent glands
