How can I become a racing flagger?

There is actually no job like that. The person who drops the flag is usually an employee of the track and it only takes less that a minute. Try and get a job at the track and if you can volunteer your services but that is a very long shot as they usually go to track insiders.

There are many safety rules and regulations available in a number of manuals and through some racing schools which are required to apply for the job. Many flaggers began as volunteers and interns working at tracks and then filled in to get on-track experience.
