This is very safe and beneficial for your dog. You can add a few cloves to his meals. There is no measured amount. It is very good for killing parasites and repelling fleas.

Large amounts of onions and garlic are toxic for dogs and cats. There is an ongoing debate about the efficacy of garlic in the prevention of fleas. Puppies or dogs with anemic conditions should never be fed garlic. Dosage is based on weight and frequency is an issue. Talk to your veterinarian.

You should not feed your dog ANY garlic. Dogs cannot digest garlic, and it is therefore often considered a "poison. " Ingesting garlic can cause severe stomach problems, which will cause symptoms including diarrhea and vomiting.

I dont think any amount of garlic would hurt your dog, unless your dog has digestive problem. Dogs can pretty much stomach anything besides chocolate. im sure you know chocolate will kill them.
