Well, if you mean power as used as a physics term, then the answer is 600 watts, as watts is the unit of power. But if you mean power in terms of the sound output, then yes, 600 watts is relatively a lot of power. Being an amp, the sound is reproduced louder than the input.

Power is in units of Watts (W) and is defined as the number of amps multiplied by the number of volts. So in short 600 watts is the power of the amp.

The wattage is the amount of "power" you will get from the the amp. So calculate the amount of watts needed to run your speakers to see if that's enough.

You get exactly that.It should be enough to drive 4 full range speakers, or 2 average size subwoofers.The power efficiency depends on the quality of the amplifier.
