There are several good cures for itchy rashes that come in injection form. Most acute rashes are caused by an allergic reaction to some stimulus. Your doctor may give you a simple shot of diphenhydramine, also known as Benadryl. This is an antihistamine. Another option is a steroid injection from the cortisone family. He might even give you both.

The rash and itch are signs of something being off kilter in your body. It is best to go see your doctor to find out what is causing it. It is concerning that you are wanting to try a shot first, also. Best to try oral bendaryl or benadryl cream.

The treatment for a skin rash would depend upon the etiology of the rash. An injection of corticosteriod might be given for a severe contact dermatitis rash, e. g. , poison ivy.

Many times, most rashes are cured with a topical treatment, such as cortisone cream. However, in some cases, there is a cortisone shot that can be given in order to provide relief from a rash or itch. You will want to consult your doctor about receiving a cortisone shot before trying it.
