To me, the first think to do would be to see a doctor ASAP, as this could be the sign of high blood pressure in your eye.

This happens to me several times a year. I have never used eye drops for it. The doctor told me that it was from a sudden rise in my blood pressure and to leave it alone. It usually goes away in a few days.

No I would go to an eye doctor before I did anything about that. I would see what they say first since they know more about eyes than you do.
